The financial world never stands still. As new products, more complex financial systems and alternative providers of finance emerge, the need for legal expertise has never been greater – especially in this era of increased regulation.

With offices in all the world's major financial centres, we are perfectly placed to help our clients shape the new financial landscape. We advise banks, insurance companies, corporates, funds, governments and regulatory authorities around the world on headline deals. It's not just about our commercial judgement. It's about building relationships, sharing knowledge and helping clients meet international business challenges.

In London, our Finance practice comprises five teams: Asset & Project Finance, Banking, Financial Regulation & Derivatives, Real Estate Finance, and Restructuring & Insolvency. Client challenges rarely fall under one area, so specialist knowledge is shared, making this an exceptional learning environment.

The learning curve will be steep. Working alongside senior lawyers, you'll gather invaluable knowledge and experience. Through practical training sessions and hands-on deal experience you'll pick up vital skills. You'll also make a genuine contribution to client deals from day one. This might involve drafting and reviewing documents, liaising with clients and other lawyers, and managing transactions before you progress to a wider range of deals.

As you develop your understanding of the intricacies of different deals, you'll gain increased responsibilities. Project leadership, client meetings and, ultimately, higher profile work will quickly follow. In fact, you could soon be reading about a deal you've worked on in the Financial Times or The Economist. We'll expect you to be a regular reader of both.
