Our work on environmental issues means we’re recognised leaders in the fields of climate change and sustainable energy. We advise a number of clients on the environmental impact of their businesses. We've done pro bono work with the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) to develop structures to encourage carbon emissions trading.

All our work in this area would have little credibility if we didn’t put it into practice ourselves. Within the firm we encourage recycling and low carbon commuting. We also support sustainable initiatives such as the composting programme for all food waste at our London office. Our Intelligent Aid competition for students has even focused on renewable energy in the past. An Environmental Steering Committee regularly reviews our progress against a series of commitments set in 2007/08. Every office was expected to reach minimum standards by 2013. This led to some notable achievements.
